ePOCUS is developed by the team that built Elephant Healthcare, an offline-first health record platform deployed across more than 900 government primary health facilities, with over 3 million registered patients and 17 million care events logged.

In 2025 Elephant began deploying POCUS across it's digitised health facilities. The value of the technology was clear, with some of the facilities seeing total patient visits rising by up to 40% after POCUS was introduced. But what was equally clear was that without effective middleware integrating POCUS into record and billing systems the clinical and financial value of the technology was not being realised. This is a global problem, equally present in large US hospitals to rural primary health facilities in Nigeria.

That's why we built ePOCUS. A solution designed with clinicians, around how ultrasound is actually performed, and engineered for settings where the software has to keep working when the infrastructure around it does not.
